HOLISTIC HEALTH MANAGEMENTOF THE ELDERLY IN CHALERM PRAKIAT 84 YEARS RATCHANAKHARIN MEDITATION CENTER KAENGHANG MAEO DISTRICT CHANTHABURI PROVINCE

Abstract

This research aims to study: 1. the general conditions of the holistic health management for the elderly, 2. the processes involved in managing the holistic health of the elderly, and 3. propose a model for holistic health management at the Chalerm Phra Kiat 84th Anniversary Meditation Center, located in Kaeng Hang Maeo District, Chanthaburi Province.

The research findings revealed that: 1. The general conditions of holistic health management for the elderly at the center have several strengths, including an appropriate and peaceful location that promotes meditation and elderly care, a flexible activity schedule, and nutrition plans suitable for elderly individuals. However, there are limitations such as insufficient personnel and challenges with accessibility to the center. 2. The management processes at the center include clear planning and operational guidelines, systematic organizational management, coordination with government agencies, and budget control to ensure transparency. 3. The holistic health management model at the center promotes physical health through exercise activities and physical care, mental well-being through counseling and encouragement, social health by fostering good relationships among the elderly, and intellectual health by training staff and providing an environment conducive to learning.
