PEOPLE IN THE ERA OF GLOBALIZATION: THAI TYRANNY

Abstract

This article aimed to present the perceptions of Thai citizens in the era of globalization towards democratic politics in the form of authoritarian governance. It discussed the concepts of decentralization, the roles and functions of political leaders, political issues, and solutions. This discussion explored the impact of globalization on citizens’ perceptions and participation in the democratic process, with an emphasis on how citizens navigated their rights and responsibilities within a volatile political landscape. Studying this topic helped us understand the challenges citizens face in participating in politics, and how they adapted to create their voice in a system that may not be conducive. This analysis also highlighted the importance of education and social awareness in the process of building a strong and sustainable democracy.
