DEVELOPMENT OF GROWING GOOD INTEGRATED LEARNING UNIT WORLD ECONNOMIC SYSTEM TO PROMOTE PUBLIC AWARENESS AND CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS OF MATHAYOMSUKSA 5 STUDENTS FROM BOTHONGWONGCHANWITTAYA, BO THONG DISTRICT, CHON BURI PROVINCE

Abstract

The aims of the study were to 1. develop of Growing Good integrated Learning Unit on World Economic System and 2. study the results of using the Growing Good integrated learning unit on World Economic System to promote public awareness and critical thinking skills of Mathayomsuksa 5 students at Bothongwongchanwittaya, Bo Thong District, Chon Buri Province. The instruments which were used in this study were 1. Growing Good integrated Learning Unit on World Economic System developed for use in experiments 2. Ehavior observation form for public awareness and 3. critical thinking skills evaluation. from to study the results of using the learning unit. The samples used in this research were 41 Mathayomsuksa 5/5 using cluster random sampling.

The results revealed that 1. the result of lesson plan quality assessment of Growing Good integrated Learning Unit on World Economic System shows the highest level 2. the results of the analysis of students’ awareness after being taught by Growing Good shows that students showed public awareness according to the components of awareness which are knowledge and understanding of the subject matter studied, emotions towards touching stimuli, and behavioral awareness towards the public and 3. the result of mean scores analysis of students’ critical thinking skills shows with an average of 20.51, which is significantly less than 70 percent threshold.
