THE MODEL FOR THE NECESSARY COMPETENCIES OF SME ENTREPRENEURS FROM THE RETAIL INDUSTRY IN THE EASTERN ECONOMIC CORRIDOR

Objectives of this research article were 1. to study the necessary competencies of SME Entrepreneurs from a retail industry in the Eastern Economic Corridor, 2. To create a model for developing the necessary competencies of SME Entrepreneurs from the retail industry in the Eastern Economic Corridor, and 3) to assess the model for developing the necessary competencies of SME Entrepreneurs from the retail industry in the Eastern Economic Corridor, The study was classified as a qualitative research. through an in-depth interview used as a tool to collect data from a group of 17 key informants.
The results of the research were that: 1. the necessary competencies of SME Entrepreneurs from a retail industry in the Eastern Economic Corridor obtain the components of competency in 5 aspects and 14 dimensions, 2. the model for developing the necessary competencies of SME Entrepreneurs from the retail industry in the Eastern Economic Corridor consists of 5 aspects and 14 dimensions and guidelines for competency development in each aspect, and 3. the evaluation results from a group discussion of experts strongly agreed on the accuracy, suitability, and advantage of the model that will be used.
