MANAGEMENT POTENTIAL DEVELOPMENT FOR BUDDHIST PROPERTY MANAGEMENT OF MONASTERY IN BANGKOK METROPOLIS

Abstract

Objectives of this research paper was to present a model for developing the management potential of Buddhist monasteries in Bangkok Metropolis using qualitative research. Field data were collected by in-depth interviewing 25 key informants with structured in-depth-interview script with a total content validity index (S-CVI) of 1.00 as a data collection tool and data were also collected from 12 participants who were experts in focus group discussion and analyzed the data by content descriptive interpretation.

Findings revealed that the model for developing the potential for religious property management of monasteries in Bangkok Metropolis consisted of 7 aspects of the monastery management process, namely 1) strategic planning 2) management of changes with the current situation 3) teamwork 4) contact communication; 5) problem solving and decision making; 6) abbot leadership; and 7) creativity. innovation through the management of the monasteries religious treasures in all 8 aspects, namely 1) the area of the registration of the temple's religious treasures 2) the area of settling the land which is the temple to be useful 3) the renting of land or buildings 4) the aspect of renting the religious land. 5) the aspect of keeping money of the monasteries, 6) the aspect of appointment of the bookkeepers, 7) Complaint management and 8) aspect of determination of registration forms, accounts, contract forms and other forms based on participatory management and good governance.
