GUIDELINES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF MORAL SCHOOLS IN BASIC EDUCATIONAL SCHOOLS

Abstract

This research article aimed to study guidelines for the development of moral schools in basic educational schools that was the study of 3 moral schools with good practice, namely, 1) Chiangmai Tzu Chi School, Fang District, Chiang Mai Province, 2) Pang Makad Wittaya School, Wiang Pa Pao District, Chiang Rai Province, and 3) Bangmunnakphoomiwitthayakhom School, Bang Mun Nak District, Phichit Province. The group key informants were school administrators and related teachers of 3 persons per school, totaling 9 key informants. The tools used for data collection were a semi-structured interview script. And data analysis used content descriptive analysis.

The results were found that guidelines for the development of moral schools in basic educational schools consisted of 4 issues: 1. Conducive to the development of a successful moral school was the school that aims to provide education to develop students with a clear moral. 2.  Important factors needed to develop moral schools who were schools’ administrators, teachers, students, curriculum, and environment. 3. Moral school development process that were preparation, setting ethical goals, implementation of development and evaluation with the participation of all parties involved, and 4) Moral school development results that were effects on teachers and students.
