GUIDELINES FOR LEARNING MANAGEMENT OF GENERAL EDUCATION FOR PROMOTING GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP CHARACTERISTICS OF UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS IN THAI HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

Objectives of this research aimed to study: 1. The learning management problems in about global citizenship characteristics of General Education of undergraduate students in Thai higher education institutions. 2. The learning management guideline of General Education for promoting global citizenship characteristics of undergraduate students in Thai higher education institutions, conducted by the qualitative research. The key informants consisted of Executives, the Instructors and learners from 9 higher education institutions, purposefully selected. The instrument was semi-structured in-depth-interview script. The data were collected by in-depth interviews. and analyzed by content descriptive interpretation.
The results of the research were found that: 1. The learning management problems about global citizenship characteristics of General Education of undergraduate students in Thai higher education institutions were in the section of learners, teachers, teaching and learning. measurement and evaluation method and environment and support, 2. The learning management guideline of General Education for promoting global citizenship characteristics of undergraduate students in Thai higher education institutions were ASPIRE which consisted of A = Activity (Focused on activity), S = Skills (Enhanced skills), P = Participation (Building up the participation), I = Integration (Making the Integration between each knowledge), R = Readiness (The readiness of learners) and E = Environment (The settlement of environment that suitable for learning).
