THE OLDER THE AGE THE LONELIER: GUIDELINES FOR CARE OF THE ELDERLY TO STAY AWAY FROM LONELINESS

Loneliness is a common problem among older people in all regions. Whether in Thailand or around the world. Anyhow, people are often overlooking and mistaking for the changes that occur in older age. But in fact, “Loneliness”, when it occurs, affects the body, mind, society and spirit of the elderly which affects the quality of life of the elderly as well.
Moreover “Loneliness” can lead to depression and suicidal thoughts of risky behavior. In this writing, the definition of loneliness is explained. Causes of loneliness in the elderly to how to care for the elderly, how to stay away from "loneliness".
