POTENTIAL DEVELOPMENT OF SA-ARD COMMUNITY LEADER, WOMEN GROUP IN TUMBON SA-ARD, NAMPONG DISTRICT, KHON KAEN PROVINCE

Abstract

The research was a participatory action research. The purposes of this research were to study the needs in Potential development and to establish a concrete action plan for Sa-Ard Community’s Leader in Tumbon Sa-Ard, Nampong District, Khon Kaen Province. A tools used were questionnaires. In-depth interview, focus group discussion and brainstorming. The data were analyzed by inductive reasoning and descriptive statistics. The research was found that there was a need to develop the potentials to collaborate with other groups, career promotion and establishment of occupational group for Sa-Ard community leader and women leader as well as group managerial assistance. needed assistance was the promotion of herbal processing and making soap from cocoon nets. This also required training course on production as well as laboratory training were undertaken under supervision of researchers and trainers, collaborated with each other on the design of brand, logo, package and planning for business management and sale accordingly. The Members of the group were satisfied with their performance. They learned to conduct production activities, marketing, financial marketing, accounting, and group management by themselves.
