EFFECTIVENESS OF THE SENATOR’S PERFORMANCE OF DUTIES UNDERCONSTITUTION OF THE KINGDOM OF THAILAND B.E. 2560

Abstract

This article has an objective to analyze the performance of duties, indicators of the effectiveness and propose the application of Buddhist principles using qualitative research collecting data from 25 key informants by in-depth interviews and from 13 participants in focus group discussion and analyzed data by descriptive interpretation. Research findings were found that the performing duties according to the constitutional intentions, efficiency and unity results, the performance of duties in certain matters caused delays and entering the duties of senators without public elections causing the lack of confidence from the public, lack of credibility from the people. 2. Indicating Factors for the effectiveness were found that 1) the screening of laws was impartial and fair. Constitutional adhering to the rules of laws 2) controlling of the administration of the state transparency 3) Consideration for approval of a person’s holding positions in independent organizations with transparency. Morality and ethics. 3. Applying Buddhist principles to develop the effectiveness of the performance of duties of senators according to the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand B.E. Fair 3) and do not impose any punishments on the administration of the country 4) respect for those who have qualifications, experience and experts;5) Give the  Rights, liberties and equality to women, 6) Promotion of role models, encouraging good people to benefit the nation. 7) Respect and honor people who do benefit for society.
