The Political beliefs of Students :A case study of Phetchabun Rajabhat University

Abstract

This  research  was  a  quantitative  research  with 2  aims  as  follows;  to  study  political  beliefs  of  students  of  Phetchabun  Rajabhat  University  and have  Buddhism  influences both their  beliefs  of students  and  the  political  system. The  populations  chosen  for  the  study  were  200     students  of  which    persons  were  male 59 (29.5  %)     and   were  female 141 (70.5 %)     Data  was  gathered  between  1-10  August  2012   using  questionnaires  and  the   data  was   analyzed  by  frequency  and  percentage.

The result  showed  that  the students  of  Phetchabun  Rajabhat  University  were  believed  by  conservative  higher  than  liberal  and  were  political  believed  same  as  patron-client  by  high  level.  The  Buddhism  beliefs  the  target  of  populations   also  influences  their  political  beliefs .  The  result  of  the  studies   were  summarized and  show  that  the  political  beliefs  of  the population were  conservative     54.96 %,    liberal 23.79 %,    authoritarianism  21.25% .  Proposition Adjustment  of  political  beliefs  is  needed  to  balance    liberal   principles  and  separate  religion  beliefs  from  political  beliefs  and  adjust to  balance  conservative  and  liberal  to  about  50%  and  belief  in  building    democracy  beside  Thai-culture  50%.
