The Elderly Participation in the Community Development of Khorean Subdistrict Administrative Organization Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the elderly participation level in community development of Khorean Sub-District Administrative Organization and 2) to compare the elderly participation in community development of Khorean Sub-District Administrative Organization classified by personal factor, the economy factor, the social and community development factor. The sample of the research were 260 respondents living in Khorean SubDistrict Administrative Organization. The sample size was computed by using Taro Yamane formular. The tool for data collection was a questionnaire. The statistics used for data analysis comprising percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, Ftest and Post-Hoc Comparison by Scheffe’s method The findings of this research were as follows : 
1. The elderly participation in the community development of Khorean Sub-district Administrative Organization, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province in overall was of low level. The elderly participation
in benefit was at high level, Followed by operation aspect, evaluation aspect and division aspect, respectively.
2. The samples with personal different factors including gender, age, religion, education level, current occupation, average income, residence period, position and interest were not different in community development participation.
While the samples with different guardians, marital status, previous occupation,
activity participation knowledge and understanding in community participation were
statistical significance at 0.05
