A Study of the State and Problems of the Elderly Social Welfare Performance in Tha Luang Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Tha Luang District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the state and problems of the elderly social welfare performance in Tha Luang Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Tha Luang District , Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province and 2) to compare the state and problems of the elderly social welfare performance in Tha Luang Subdistrict Administrative Organization classified by personal factors, managerial factors , economic and social factors and community development factors. The sample of this study comprising 216 respondents who were selected by simple random sampling technique from the population of 491 elderlies who lived in the area of Tha Luang Subdistrict. This sample size derived from the computation by Krejcie and Morgan formula at the level of confidence ae percentage. The research tool for data collection was a questionnaire and the statistics used for data analysis consisted of percentage, mean , standard deviation,t- test and f- test with Post Hoc Comparison by Scheffe method. 

The research findings were as follows:

at the highest level, followed by the aspect of entertainment, social security by care taker family and protection, health and medical treatment and the aspect of  home and service center , respectively. The problems of the performance in Tha

The sample with different monthly income and health condition had different opinion in overall toward the state of the elderly social welfare performance in Tha Luang Subdistrict at significant statistic level .05, whereas the

sample with different educational level, marital status, children number, source of income and care taker had no different opinion. While the sample with different  marital status, children number and health condition had different opinions in
