THE GENERAL CONDITION OF THE SMES SECTOR, INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION IN UPPER CENTRAL PROVINCES GROUP 1.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the General Condition of the SMEs Sector,Industrial Production in Upper Central Provinces Group 1 which comprises of 4
Provinces as of Nonthaburi, PathumThani, PhraNakhon Si Ayutthaya and Saraburi in order to know the condition in general of SMEs and to be an important information
for SMEs entrepreneurs and government in order to established further the guideline to promote SMEs. Population of the study are the registered SMEs in the
group of provinces. Sample of the study are SMEs. Data was gathered from The Office of SMEs Promotion (OSMEP)and Department of Industrial Workssuch as
number ofenterprises,capital, number of labors, and major production in the year 2015.The result of study found that there are a total number of8,037 factories of
overall SMEs in the manufacturing sector as industrial plants whichthe proportion of small enterprises (SE) more than medium-sized enterprises.However, in terms of
capital and labor was found medium-sized enterprises account for more.This is probably because this group of province near Bangkok which is the center of
economic growth, education, housing, convenient transportation and the concentration of labor as well.
The study was also found that the major industrial with the most
production in the Upper Central Province Group1 such 1) Nonthaburi Province include repair and installation of machinery, 2) PathumThani Province was
foundMetal fabricated products, and 3) PhraNakhon Si Ayutthaya and Saraburi Province was found other products made from Non-metallic minerals as a major
industrial. Possibly because industrial is supply the requirements to responding a large number of demand in this group of provinces’ areas and to facilitate to
distribute the production to the other provinces, as well as exported to foreign countries.The result of this research will be the information use for consideration of
investment by SMEs, to suit local conditions, capital, labors and competitionin order to create growth in the industry, which is the real economy sector of the
country.
