THE ROLES OF SANGHA LEADER AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

The objectives of this research are i) to study the Sangha leaders roles apply the Buddhadhamma for quality of life development in the society, economy and environment .ii) to study and analyze the Sangha leaders roles for quality of life development in the society, economy and environment  in Bangkok and  iii) to study and analyze the problems and obstacles for quality of life development in the society, economy and environment in Bangkok to perform this research by survey, questionnaires and the interview  and the record of the field data. With  450 samples of the community from 18 District in Bangkok. The data analysis from the questionnaire and the function from Microsoft Excel 2007 .The data analysis by frequencies, percentage, average and standard deviation.

            The result research found that:  1) the Sangha leaders roles bring the Buddhadhamma for quality of life development in the society, economy and environment, by the overall image, it is a high level in an average, be valuable share equal to 3.61 when consider by each factor is also high level in an average. The Buddha Dhamma about Five precepts is the highest level equal to 3.82  2) the Sangha leaders roles for quality of life development  in the society, economy and environment in Bangkok, in Society, economy and environment found that: by the overall image, it is a middle level in an average, be valuable share equal to 3.08, 2.92 and 2.99 when consider by each factor is also middle level in an average.  
3) The problems and obstacles about developing quality of life of community in Bangkok by the overall image, it is a middle level in an average, be valuable share equal to 2.99, when consider by each factor is also middle level in an average.

          From an interview found that Sangha leaders roles for quality of life development are supporting personnel, Sangha and Seminarians teaching moralize to student at the school near the temple. Establishing Charity school and Sunday Buddhism School. A lesser roles in the economy and environment. The problems and obstacles about developing quality of life of community are personnel, budget and government policy.
