FACTORS AFFECTING TO THE EFFECTIVENESS FOR ADMINISTRATOR’S DEVELOPMENT OF MAHACHULALONGKORNRAJAVIDYALAYA UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to 1) study the administrator’s
characteristics and the management principles affecting the effective
administrator’s development of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University 2) study
components of the effective administrator’s development of
Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University 3) study the guideline to develop the
essential method of the administrator’s development of Mahachulalongkronrajavidyalaya
university. The mixed methods research were applied as a sequential
explanatory. A 190 sampling of the administrator’s representatives were used for
questionnaires and the in–depth interview of 25 key informants of the top
executives of Mahachulalongkronrajavidyalaya University. The descriptive method

and inferential statistics were utilized. The data were analyzed by descriptive and
inferential statistics method.
The result of research findings were as follows: 1)The administrators
development of university found that all were totally agree with and the
administrator’s characteristics composed of adaptability, vision and strategic
thinking, integrity, good communication, expertise and management principles
factors were comprised planning, organizing, leading, controlling and using the
virtues of a ruler were related to the effectiveness of university administrator’s
development 2)The Pearson product–moment bivariate correlation coefficient of
personal characteristics of administrators and management principles variables had
effected on the effectiveness for university administrator’s development with a
positive correlation coefficient from 0.361 to 0.642 with statistical significant of
every variables at 0.01 (2–tailed) 3) The predicted variables composed of
controlling , virtues of the rulers, planning, vision and strategic thinking were
correlate with the effectiveness of university administrator’s development at 74.5
percent (R = 0.745), these could predicted the variance of the effectiveness for
university- administrator’s development at 56.0 percent (R2= 0.555) with a statistical
significance at 0.05 (2 – tailed). 4) The interviewing with the top executives found
that the effectiveness for university administrator’s development had to conform in
the same direction and rely on the appropriated controlling, virtues of a ruler,
planning, vision and strategic thinking. Recommendations : 1) effectiveness of
administrator’s development should applied the Buddha teaching methods such as
explanation, discussions, problem-solving and tangible answering 2) The application
of Dhammatipataya had to encourage for developing the administrators at
university 3) The digitized learning media should be established the center for
global learning that the learners could learnt at any place and anywhere.
