The results showed that the existence of Buddhism in Pattani is strongly influenced by three major factors including community and living, culture and tradition, and education of Buddhist in the region. A harmful and insecure living condition to Thai Buddhist communities in the area. As a result of the violence, all Buddhist activities and cultures are unable to be processed, as usual, due to the fear and the concern of the insurgency. Not only that, the violence also results in a significant reduction in Buddhist studies, especially for academic scripture education. In order to solve the problem, Thai government and the local Buddhists necessitate being well cooperated. The research results indicated that the policy statement of the government was satisfied. In addition, the findings showed that the Buddhist community has requested the local Buddhists having a strong unity as to protect themselves and to preserve well their social, cultural and religious activities. The community also asks for close attention from the government by means of both policy and action. Finally, the author suggests that Buddhists in the region should be braver and united to identify themselves and fight for the local injustice
