ELDERLY WELFARE MANAGEMENT OF LOCAL ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATIONS IN THAILAND

The research found that (1) for management factor, most administrators of local administrative organizations had high level of leadership while some of them had low level of leadership, budget allocated was not enough for appropriate activities on elderly welfare management, there were no direct personnel for elderly welfare activities, and the public relations were at the moderate level. (2) For the results of elderly welfare management of local administrative organizations, overall and every aspects were at the moderate levels, because local administrative organizations had not only elderly welfare activity but also many other activities to perform. (3) From hypothesis testing, it was found that elderly persons with different marital status and with different other income received had significant different opinion on the results of elderly welfare management. It was also found that there were significant relationship between overall and every aspects of opinion on management factors and overall and every aspects of opinion on the results elderly welfare management. From this research, the body of knowledge found was that the management factor consisting of leadership, budget, personnel, and public relations had significant relationship with the results of elderly welfare management in every aspects (health and medical treatment, income, housing, recreation, social security, family, caretaker and protection, and creation of service and supporting network. Thus, if there are improvement and promotion of these aspects of management factor, then effectiveness of elderly welfare management of local administrative organizations will increase.
