Public Satisfaction and the Development of a Priority-Setting Model for Primary Health Care Service Improvement: A Case Study of Sikai Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospital, Nong Khai Province
Keywords:
Public Satisfaction, Primary Health Care Services, Policy-Oriented Priority SettingAbstract
This study aimed to (1) examine public satisfaction with primary health care services provided by Sikai Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospital, Nong Khai Province, (2) analyze the relationships between primary health care service dimensions and public satisfaction, and (3) develop a priority-setting model to support policy formulation and management decisions at the local level. A quantitative research design was employed. The sample consisted of 381 service recipients selected through stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and an integrated weighting method. The findings indicated that overall public satisfaction with primary health care services was high, and service dimensions were positively correlated with public satisfaction at a statistically significant level. The developed priority-setting model suggested that personnel development and service processes should be prioritized, followed by service accessibility and physical facilities. The results provide a policy-oriented framework for resource allocation, service planning, and systematic improvement of primary health care services in local contexts.
