This article is a literature review that seeks to explore the meaning and theories of innovation, the comparative differences between organizational innovation, organizational innovation processes, and types of organizational innovation. It aims to develop a theoretical framework for research studies, which is of significant importance for the future development of organizational innovation in Small and medium enterprises. From the literature review, it can be concluded that organizational innovation is a discipline that focuses on applying new ideas and theories to develop organizational innovation. The components of organizational innovation in Small and medium enterprises next decade consist of product or service innovation and process innovation, digital technology innovation, innovation management, and organizational innovation.
