Knowledge and Understanding Regarding to Sufficiency Economy Philosophy of Executives of Sub district Administrative Organization in Phetchaburi Province

Abstract

          The purposes of the study were: 1) to determine level of knowledge and understanding about sufficiency economy philosophy of the executives of sub district administrative organizations in Phetchaburi Province; 2) identify the receptive channels on the sufficiency economy philosophy of the executives; and 3) compare the knowledge and understanding about sufficiency economy philosophy of the executives of sub district administrative organizations based on their personal status. The samples used in this research were 138 current chief executives of the sub district administrative organizations randomly drawn with Taro Yamane’s formula. The instruments used in this research were a questionnaire and a multiple-choice test. The data were analyzed with statistical methods for percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The hypotheses were tested with t-test and one-way ANOVA. The findings indicated that: 1) Level of knowledge and understanding about sufficiency economy philosophy of the executives of sub district administrative organizations in Phetchaburi Province was moderate. 2) The executives of the sub district administrative organizations received knowledge and understanding about sufficiency economy philosophy from television at 100 percent; from the newspapers at 98.60 percent, and from their colleagues and friends at 97.80 percent respectively. 3) The executives of the sub district administrative organizations in Phetchaburi Province who were different in gender, age, educational level, and work experience did not have statistically different knowledge and understanding about the sufficiency economy philosophy.
