The Model of Job Engagement Effects on Employee’s Work Performance in Sports Association of Thailand

บทคัดย่อ

The purpose of this research are as follows: 1) to study factors which effected the work performance of sports personnel in the Sports Association of Thailand. 2) to study the influence of factors that effected the operations of sports personnel in the Sports Association of Thailand. 3) to create a model of job engagement and Its effects on employees in the Sports Association of Thailand’s work performance as a mixed methods research which was split between quantitative and qualitative research. The population was the directors and sport personnel from 78 Sports Associations of Thailand. Sampling parameter was set at 10 to 20 times the amount of the variables for used in the Analysis of Moment Structure (AMOS) program with 20 variables, therefore 400 samples from accidental sampling of which 383 questionnaires were returned. The tools used were questionnaires, interviews and focus group questioning. The statistics used in analysis were descriptive analysis, analysis of correlation coefficient, confirmative element analysis, and analysis of structural equation models.
The research had shown that 1) Organizational citizenship, teamwork, strategic human resource management, and job engagement effected work performance at statistical significant of .01. 2) The influence of factors over sport personnel’s work performance was consistent with the empirical data by considering the analytical result of p-value of 0.101, χ2/df of 1.280, GFI of 0.978, AGFI of 0.954, CFI of 0.994, RMSEA of 0.027, and SRMR of 0.0233. The variables: organizational citizenship, strategic human resource management, and job engagement had direct effects to work performance, with the exception of teamwork which had no effect. The variance of job engagement and work performance were 36.9% and 36.2% respectively. 3) The researcher’s model is in compliance with the empirical data of Job Engagement Arrow Model.
