The Multilevel Factors Affecting the Educational Effectiveness of Education Institutes under Vocational Education Commission in the Bangkok Metropolitan Area

บทคัดย่อ

The objectives of this research were to study 1) the level of educational effectiveness, 2) the relationship between three level factors: the student, classroom, and institute level, and 3) the multilevel analysis consisted of these three level factors which affected the educational effectiveness of Education Institutes under Vocational Education Commission in the Bangkok metropolitan area. The samples consisted of one thousand and sixty-four administrators, teachers and vocational certificate students from government vocational education institutes in Bangkok. The instruments used in this study were questionnaires for administrators, teachers, and students. The data were analyzed by using mean, standard deviation, coefficient of variation, Pearson product - moment correlation coefficient and multilevel analysis.
The results of the research were as follows: 1) the level of educational effectiveness of education institutes under Vocational Education Commission in the Bangkok metropolitan area was at a high level, 2) the student level factors and the classroom level factors had a relationship with educational effectiveness of education institutes under Vocational Education Commission in the Bangkok metropolitan area at the statistically significant level of .01. The institute level factor in the aspect of promoting professional development also had a relationship with educational effectiveness at the statistically significant level of .05, and 3) the student level factors in the aspect of the skills and characteristics of students in the twenty-first century, the motivation of students, and the parental involvement affected the educational effectiveness of vocational education institutes at the statistically significant level of .01. The classroom level factors in the aspect of the competencies and professional skills of teachers, and the institute level factors in the aspect of promoting professional development affected the educational effectiveness of vocational education institutes at the statistically significant level of .05.
