120 Years of Thai Local Administration (2440 – 2560 B.E.): Evolution and Historical Conditions of Thai State

บทคัดย่อ

     This article divided the evolution of Thai local administration into 4 periods (1) the beginning era (2435 – 2475 B.E.) (2) Bureaucratic state era (2475 – 2535 B.E.) (3) Reform era (2535 – 2540 B.E.) and (4) transformation era (2540 B.E. – present). The evolution of Thai local administration in the past 120 years confirmed that the stability of national-level politics of Thai state could seriously affect the achievement of Thai local administration and decentralization concepts. This reflected that the historical conditions of the Thai state on local administration and decentralization, that is, the instability of political policy at the national-level and the long history root of Thai administration culture that is highly centralize.
