The Way to Develop Center for Peace and Student Governance of Dhurakij Pundit University

บทคัดย่อ

This thesis is of 3 objectives: (1) to study theoretical ideas related to peaceful means, principles of good governance and organization development; (2) to study the contexts of Center for Peace and Student Governance of Dhurakij Pundit University; and (3) to present the way to develop Center for Peace and Student Governance of Dhurakij Pundit University, which its tool is qualitative research with an in-depth interview to related interviewees to the University’s Center for Peace and Student Governance including outside-experienced scholars, in a total of 9 altogether.  From the research, it is found the followings:

              (1) Peaceful means is a resolution of arisen conflict by way of peace or the way without violence; governance means the organizational management emphasizing the rule of law, principles of transparency, responsibility, worthiness, participation, and virtue; and organization development means an implementation for good-way changing with the means for success in various forms.

              (2) The Center for Peace and Student Governance of Dhurakij Pundit University is an institute of collecting information, spreading knowledge and giving training in conflict management by peaceful means, together with being a mediator of the arisen conflicts to build the culture of peace in the University.  Moreover, the Center’s operation is also linked with the project of managing social-discipline around the University that aims to take care of the students who stay in its surrounded dormitories to be safe from all temptations and narcotics by having government offices and community leaders to co-operate for the aim of social peace.

          (3) The way to develop the Center for Peace and Student Governance of Dhurakij Pundit University is of the following aspects: 1) a policy continuality of administrators, 2) an instilment of conscious in loving organizational culture and continuing ideology, 3) a network strengthening for both inside and outside organization for strength, and 4) a set-up of principles for the way to sustainable practice.
