Development of Buddhist Propagation by Using Broadcasting

บทคัดย่อ

      The purposes of this article were to study Buddhist propagation from the past and the present, to study the best practice of Buddhist propagation through broadcasting, and to propose effective ways to develop Buddhist propagation through by using broadcasting. Documentary study was used for data collection from related research and literature review. The results showed that Buddhist propagation had five periods which consisted of the oral communication, the written communication, the typing communication, broadcasting communication, and social network communication. Two best practices were presented in this paper which consisted of Wat Nai Rong’s communication radio for Buddhism and society, and the World Buddhist Television of Thailand (WBTV). Five effective ways to develop Buddhist propagation through by using broadcasting were presented which consisted of setting effective radio program, control and correct Dhamma content before be on the air, building network for long term planning in order to cooperate and help each other within local area, and to compare with other Sangha organizations for further development.
