Studying the Development of Value Leadership Strategies for School Management in Liaoning Province, the People’s Republic of China

The purposes of this research were 1. to investigate the value leadership ability of school managers in school performance; 2. to establish and develop a value leadership strategy for school management regarding the performance of basic education in schools; and 3. to evaluate the value leadership strategy of the school management in terms of school performance. A mixed-methods research study, which combined both quantitative and qualitative, was employed in this research. This study surveyed 368 school managers in Liaoning Province, China, to explore value leadership components in basic education. The research tool included the questionnaire of a five-point Likert scale, with a reliability score of 0.98. Perform statistical analysis using Mean and Standard Deviation.
The research result was found that: 1. Current Status of Value Leadership: Principals were highly rated for implementing values in practice, aligning with scholarly views. Value leadership involves inspiring followers, building trust, and fostering growth through shared organizational values. Effective leaders cultivate their abilities under correct values and apply them practically. 2. Practical Strategies: Strengthening value leadership requires Principals’ ability to identify and convey the school's core values. Including, creating a supportive school environment, demonstrating values through personal behavior, and exemplifying school core values. 3. Effectiveness Evaluation: Experts validated the model as accurate and reasonable. Testing in 5 schools confirmed its effectiveness, with results at the highest level.
