การใช้นิทานโบราณสถานขอมเป็นแนวทางพัฒนาท้องถิ่นไทย ภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ: กรณีศึกษานครราชสีมาและบุรีรัมย์

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาเรื่องเล่าชาวบ้านเกี่ยวกับปราสาทขอมในจังหวัดนครราชสีมาและบุรีรัมย์ เพื่อวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลและเสนอแนวทางการพัฒนาชุมชนจากฐานมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมของท้องถิ่น โครงการวิจัยเก็บข้อมูลภาคสนาม โดยใช้เทคนิคสโนว์บอล และวิธีการคัดเลือกแบบเจาะจงเพื่อติดต่อคนในท้องถิ่น เก็บข้อมูลโดยวิธีสัมภาษณ์ การสังเกต และการเข้าร่วมพิธีกรรมและเทศกาลในท้องถิ่น ผลการวิจัยพบว่าเรื่อง “ปาจิต-อรพิม” ได้รับความนิยมอย่างมากและแพร่หลายในพื้นที่ เรื่องปาจิตอรพิมถ่ายทอดเรื่องราวความรักสมัยใหม่ที่ตัวเอกตกหลุมรักอรพิม และส่งเสริมบทบาทของผู้หญิงที่มีความสามารถ นิทานพื้นบ้านเรื่องอื่นที่เกี่ยวกับผู้หญิงและผู้ชายที่แข่งขันกันเพื่อสร้างปราสาทหินสะท้อนพลังผู้หญิงที่ต่อสู้เพื่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงวัฒนธรรมและประเพณี แสดงให้เห็นถึงศักยภาพผู้หญิง เรื่องพระนารายณ์ที่ปราสาทพนมรุ้งทำให้ทราบถึงความเชื่อและความเข้าใจของชาวบ้านเกี่ยวกับพระนารายณ์และฤาษีนารายณ์ เรื่องท้องถิ่นของหมู่บ้านละโว้คือการขุดพบรูปเคารพสตรี ชาวบ้านเรียกชื่อว่า “นางละโว้” และต่อมาเชื่อกันว่านางละโว้คือพระโพธิสัตว์ปรัชญาปารมิตา เรื่องนางละโว้ทำให้ทราบว่าชาวบ้านเคารพนางละโว้ในฐานะสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธ์ที่ปกป้องคุ้มครองหมู่บ้าน ผลการศึกษาจากการอภิปรายกลุ่มย่อยพบว่าชุมชนควรพิจารณาปัจจัยด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมและการพัฒนาสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกเพื่อประโยชน์ใช้สอยในชีวิตประจำวันของประชาชน นอกจากนี้ การส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรมผ่านกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ เป็นสิ่งสำคัญอย่างยิ่ง ชุมชนต้องสร้างตราสินค้าของท้องถิ่นเพื่อการตลาด การโฆษณา และการประชาสัมพันธ์
