การเปรียบเทียบกลวิธีการแปลบุรุษสรรพนามจากภาษาอังกฤษเป็นภาษาไทย: กรณีศึกษาเรื่องลอร์ดน้อยฟอนเติ้ลรอย

บทความวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเปรียบเทียบกลวิธีการแปลคำบุรุษสรรพนามที่แปลจากวรรณกรรมต้นฉบับภาษาอังกฤษ เรื่อง Little Lord Fauntleroy แต่งโดย Frances Hodgson และได้รับการแปลเป็นภาษาไทยจำนวน 3 สำนวน ได้แก่ เรื่องมาแต่กระยาหงัน แปลโดย นวนาค (ฉุน ประภาวิวัฒน์) เรื่องเจ้าน้อยฟอนเติลรอย แปลโดยแก้วคำทิพย์ ไชย เรื่องลอร์ดน้อยฟอนเติ้ลรอย แปลโดยเนื่องน้อย ศรัทธา และ ข้อมูลที่นำมาวิเคราะห์เก็บจากส่วนการแปลบทบรรยาย และส่วนการแปลบทสนทนาของตัวละคร โดยใช้กรอบแนวคิดของ Baker (2018) เป็นเกณฑ์ในการวิเคราะห์กลวิธีการแปลภาษาที่มีความแตกต่างทางวัฒนธรรม ผลการวิจัยพบกลวิธีการแปลสรรพนามในวรรณกรรมแปล จำนวน 12 กลวิธี ได้แก่ การใช้บุรุษสรรพนาม การละ การใช้คำเรียกญาติ การใช้คำนามหรือนามวลี การใช้ชื่ออาชีพ ตำแหน่ง หรือยศ การใช้ชื่อเฉพาะ การใช้คำระบุเฉพาะ การสรุปความ การใช้รูปภาษาเดิม การใช้คำแสดงจำนวน การใช้คำแทนทางวัฒนธรรม และการใช้คำอ้างถึงที่ไม่ระบุเฉพาะ ปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อการเลือกใช้กลวิธีการแปล ได้แก่ ปัจจัยด้านไวยากรณ์เรื่องพจน์ และปัจจัยด้านสังคมและวัฒนธรรม ซึ่งแบ่งเป็นเรื่องความอาวุโส ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างตัวละคร และเรื่องกาลเทศะ
