Abstract

      This study purposes to record the Phi Phi Islands Legends, and develop them to language and cultural interpretation. Data were collected through in-depth interviews from 12 samples, fieldnotes, and observation. Data were analysed with case record, and triangulation with related information. Data then had been developed to language and cultural interpretation into the 5 optimum issues. These are Phi Phi Island’s name, aboriginal language, the given surname, name of the ancient boats, and language distortion
