The Important Factors for Management of Apparel Merchant Estate of Big Clothing Market in the Upper Northeast Region

The objective of this study was to determine the attitude of renters in the apparel merchant estate of big clothing markets, and the important factors for the management of apparel merchant estate of big clothing markets. For this research, the data were collected and analyzed using both the quantitative and qualitative methods. Using the quantitative method, researchers distributed 431 questionnaires to apparel merchants in the big clothing markets.
The 431 questionnaires were analyzed utilizing percentage, arithmetic mean, and a standard deviation with the 0.05 level of significance. Using the qualitative method, researchers used a focus group consisting of seven invited experts to discuss key performance indicators and the important factors for the management of apparel merchant estate of big clothing markets. The researchers analyzed this data with content analysis and found three important indicators: 1) percentages of the rented space, 2) rental rates, and 3) renter turnover rates. In addition, researchers found five important factors for the management of apparel merchant estate of big clothing markets: 1) location, 2) environment and surrounding of placement, 3) project placement, 4) cost of business operation, and 5) marketing promotion.
