The samplings of study used in this research were derived from the 526 titles of the foreign films named in the Thai language during 2562-2564 through the purposive sampling. It was found that there are the three strategies of film naming.
The first strategy was the term transliteration consisting of three kinds as follows, transliteration of all messages without addition of Thai consisting of 70 titles, transliteration of all messages with addition of Thai, consisting of 47 titles, and transliteration of some parts with addition of Thai, consisting of 55 titles. The second strategy was the strategic translation consisting of 6 kinds namely; literal translation of all messages without addition of Thai, consisting of 12 titles, literal translation of all messages with addition or modification of some messages, consisting of 44 titles, literal translation of all messages through free translation with addition of Thai, consisting of 6 titles, translation of all messages through free translation, consisting of 1 title, translation of some parts with addition of message, consisting of 59 title and translation of some parts without addition of message, consisting of 1 title. The last strategy consists of the following two strategies namely; 1) new film naming without words in the same field was found 39 titles and new naming of film with words in the same field was found 183 titles. From the usage of strategy in film naming, it was found that the third strategy was used the most because the name founder is free in the film naming. It also made the story become more interesting one.
