This research article studies the development and role of Nestorianism Christianity during the Tang Dynasty from 635 AD till 845 AD. The objective of this article is to study the development and role of Nestorianism Christianity in relation to society at that time period. The researchers found that Nestorianism Christianity plays an important development and role in politics, governance and economy with missionaries receiving political and administrative positions as well as overseeing the situation along the border, along with important evidence that clearly indicates the development and role of the propagation of Nestorianism Christianity during the same period. The evidence on the stone altar shows Emperors of the Tang dynasty appointed missionaries of that period to many important administrative positions which imply that Nestorianism Christianity played a large role in that period. In addition, traces of an official translation of the Old Testament Bible have been found since the beginning of the Tang Dynasty. Moreover, comparable historical evidence has been found that the Old Testament translation has occurred since the Jin Dynasty. Therefore, it can be considered that Nestorianism Christianity has played an influence role in the evolution of Tang society.
