Purpose: This study aimed to develop an information system for improving the efficiency of risk management at the Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, Khon Kaen University and to evaluate user satisfaction with the developed risk management information system.
Methodology: This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) framework utilizing the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) approach, which consists of five phases: (1) user requirements analysis, (2) system design, (3) system development, (4) system testing, (5) implementation and evaluation. The information system was developed utilizing Google Apps Script in conjunction with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with Google Sheets serving as the primary database for data storage. The sample was selected using purposive sampling and consisted of 14 participants: 5 executives, 1 department head, 1 director of the faculty administration division, 3 supervisors, and 4 personnel involved in risk management. A satisfaction questionnaire was employed as the research instrument to evaluate user satisfaction. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including means and standard deviations, to evaluate the level of user satisfaction with the system.
Findings: The results of the study showed that users reported a high level of satisfaction with the risk management information system. The most notable strength of the system was its user interface. Users perceived that the system enhanced the efficiency of risk management and supported management in making risk-related decisions. They also expressed confidence in the system's usefulness and supported its continued use.
Applications of this study: The developed information system can be implemented in units with similar organizational contexts to enhance risk management at the faculty-level within the university. Furthermore, its collaborative use across units could enable the development of a shared knowledge base for exchanging information on risks and risk mitigation strategies.
