Purpose: This study aims to investigate the data requirements and necessary datasets for preparing the Program Self-Assessment Report (SAR) according to AUN-QA Version 4.0 criteria, and subsequently to design a suitable Data Relationship Structure and development guidelines for an Information System to support the preparation of the AUN-QA SAR.
Methodology: This study utilized a qualitative research approach, gathering data through interviews with 30 key informants, including administrators, faculty members serving on the curriculum committee, and support staff involved in the development of curriculum self-assessment reports and curriculum quality assurance in accordance with AUN-QA Version 4.0 standards. The data was examined and systematically presented through analytic induction. The interview data were systematically categorized and grouped based on their characteristics, followed by a comparative analysis to identify similarities and differences, and an examination of the relationships among the data. Ultimately, conclusions were derived from the data.
Findings: The essential dataset for preparing the self-assessment report includes course, personnel, student, and resource information. Multiple systems scatter this data, causing it to lack connectivity and become outdated. The research designed a data relationship model for systems to centralize data, reduce redundancy, and improve accuracy. The developed system should therefore possess four key characteristics: 1) data integration and linkage, 2) interoperability and governance, 3) data input flexibility, and 4) navigation and result visualization.
Applications of this study: This conceptual framework can be immediately applied to develop the Program Self-Assessment Information System in higher education institutions utilizing the AUN-QA Version 4.0 criteria. It serves as a blueprint for linking core data with external systems (via API) and significantly reducing the workload on personnel involved in report preparation.
