The objective of this article was to present the elderly people’ adapting situation to their society during the change of population structure in the elderly society in Thailand, seeing that these elderly people had an increasing tendency. Also, it was an issue of high interest, both at national and international levels, necessary for the study to gain knowledge and suitable for the use in planning to raise the elderly society’s happiness level. From the findings, Thailand was in the course of the rapid change of population, especially the population’s age structure with an increasing proportion of population, 60 years of age and over, and most of the elderly people in their families were happy, both physically and mentally. However, these elderly people’ economy was at low level of happiness owing to their income problem, including monetary stability because lack of savings and lack of regular income. Therefore, in order to raise their happiness level, the economic support for them should be done first by creating sustainable income, promoting savings, and significantly, reducing their debt condition.
