The development of learning management plan on analytical reading by the PQRST reading process with coaching roles for matthayomsuksa 6 students at Udon PattanaKarn school

Abstract

The purposes of this research study were 1) to develop learning management plan on analytical reading of Mattayomsuksa 6 students by using the PQRST reading process and coaching roles with the set criterion of 75/75 2) to compare Thai language learning achievement of students before and after learning on analytical reading by using the PQRST reading process with coaching roles. The sample was 28, selected by purposive sampling.

The research instruments were composed of 5 analytical reading learning management plans by using the PQRST reading process with coaching roles and the learning achievement test, 4 choice, 20 questions. The data were statistically analyzed for percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test for dependent samples.

The results were 1) the learning management plan on analytical reading of Mattayomsuksa 6 students by using the PQRST reading process with coaching roles had the efficiency 83.50/76.25 which was higher than the criteria 2) the students’ Thai language learning achievement on analytical reading after learning by using the PQRST reading process with coaching roles was higher than that of before with statistical significance at 0.1.The results of this research show that using the PQRST reading process together with the coaching role helps students develop systematic thinking, analyticity, and knowledge, combined with the coaching role that stimulates thinking, and learners to use their full potential, resulting in deep and sustainable learning.
