DEVELOPING ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT OF THAI LANGUAGE SUBJECTS IN SPEAKING SKILLS USING ROLE-PLAYING PROCESS BASED ON COMMUNICATION LANGUAGE TEACHING (CLT) OF MATHAYOM 1 STUDENTS AT KUMPHAWAPI SCHOOL

Abstract

The objectives of this research are 1) To develop academic achievement in Thai language subjects; speaking skills using role-playing process based on the principles of communicative language teaching (CLT) of Mathayom 1 students at Kumphawapi School. 2) To compare academic achievement of Thai language subjects in speaking skills between before and after learning by using role-playing process based on the principles of communicative language teaching (CLT) of Mathayom 1students at Kumphawapi School. Statistical methods used in data analysis include percentages, means, standard deviations, T-tests one-sample, and T-tests dependent. The research results found that the development of academic achievement in Thai language subjects in speaking skills using  role-playing process based on the principles of communicative language teaching (CLT) of Mathayom 1students at Kumphawapi School were a pre-test score of 5.68, which is  47.29 percent, with a standard deviation of 4.23, and received a post-test score of 9.73, which is 81.04 percent, with a standard deviation of 1.97 the students' post-test scores were higher than before, with statistical significance at the .05 level.
