The Study of Thai Tourists’ Behavior towards the Environmental Policies of Hotel in Chiang Rai
Main Article Content
Abstract
This quantitative research aimed to 1) explore the level of importance placed on hotel environmental policies by Thai tourists, and 2) compare the behavioral differences among Thai tourists regarding these policies. Data were gathered using a questionnaire from 400 Thai tourists, selected through convenience sampling. Descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, and mean, were used for data analysis, followed by Independent T-Test for hypothesis testing.
The findings revealed the respondents placed a high overall level of importance on hotel environmental policies, and respondents with different behaviors showed statistically significant differences in the importance placed on environmental policies at the 0.01 level. Specifically, participants who highly value environmental issues place greater importance on hotel environmental policies than those with moderate views. Additionally, resort guests prioritized these policies more than hotel guests, and those spending 1,500 baht or more per stay placed greater emphasis on hotel environmental policies compared to those spending less.
