A Study on Promoting Sustainable Thai-Chinese Vocational Education Cooperation in the Production and Development of Manpower for the Thai Rail Transport System

Abstract
This research aims to examine the origins and significance of Thai-Chinese vocational education cooperation in the production and development of manpower for the Thai rail transport system. It seeks to analyze the current cooperation situation, identify operational challenges, and propose solutions to promote sustainable cooperation. The study employs qualitative research methods, including collecting primary data through in-depth interviews and secondary data from documents and related research, followed by analysis using descriptive methods.
The research findings indicate that Thai-Chinese vocational education cooperation in the rail transport sector responds to national strategies aimed at developing a skilled workforce aligned with market demands and national development goals of Thailand. However, the situational analysis by SWOT method reveals persistent challenges such as a lack of long-term planning and coordination issues. Consequently, guidelines are recommended to enhance cooperation sustainability, leveraging the strong foundation of collaboration between Thailand and China. These guidelines include fostering partnerships with businesses to create employment opportunities and boosting income, as well as motivating students to actively develop language skills, among other measures.
