Abstract
According to the two main causes: the low level of English grammar proficiency focusing on tenses and the change of teaching and learning situation into the online process during the COVID-19 pandemics, these led to the research in order to solve the problems. The objectives of the study were to: 1) construct and test the efficiency of supplementary English grammar content focusing on tenses on E - book, 2) compare the leaners’ English grammar proficiency before and after studying the lessons on E - book, 3) evaluate the learners’ satisfaction on all aspects of this E- book. The subjects consisted of 39 first year English majors, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Songkhla Rajabhat University. The instruments were 1) 8 units of supplementary English grammar content focusing on tenses on E- book, 2) an English grammar proficiency test focusing on tenses, 3) a questionnaire used for surveying the participants’ satisfaction on the effectiveness of the constructed material. The study results were: 1) The effectiveness of supplementary English grammar content focusing on tenses was 75.69 and 75.90 %. They were above the expected criterion 75/75. 2) The learners’ English grammar proficiency after studying the lessons on the E - book was significantly higher than before studying at the .01 level. 3) The learners’ satisfaction on the 8 units on the E- book was rated at a high level (4.32). The participants’ comments and suggestions were positive. They suggested to add Thai explanation alongside English and more example sentences.
