Direction and guidelines for the study of modern folklore in Thai society

Abstract
This article aims to explore the direction and propose guidelines for the study of modern folklore in Thai society, synthesizing works that study modern narratives, modern recreational songs, and modern riddles, along with bringing documents related to modern folklore for study. It was found that the direction of modern folklore study in Thai society, it is beginning stage, but there is a trend of increasing interest. Therefore, there is still a lot of information to study. Study guidelines modern folklore in Thai society may be a collection of subtypes of folklore in contemporary society or folklore of different groups of people to be study by interviewing key informants or collecting information from modern media, then analyzing the characteristics of folklore along with concepts and theories from the humanities and social sciences to accompany the study. It will allow you to understand group of people thoughts, beliefs, and various phenomena in contemporary society from another perspective. Studying modern folklore may help expand the scope of folklore in Thai society, make folklore a contemporary science, and see the trend of future study more clearly.
