Study of Chinese Philosophy on the Practice of Virtue in the Mind and Helping Others in Ancient Chinese Literature

Abstract

This research aimed to study ancient Chinese literature from the perspective of Chinese philosophy regarding the practice of virtues in the mind and assisting others in society and nation. In this qualitative research, the method involved collecting data and reviewing literature from documents and related research. The analysis focused on ancient Chinese literature and Chinese philosophy and their interrelations, with conclusions categorized by prominent characteristics according to the eras: 1. Mythology and poetry reflecting societal struggles and pre-Qin Dynasty philosophy. 2. Historical records for future generations during the Han Dynasty. 3. Nationalist poetry and philosophy during the Tang-Song Dynasties.
