Abstract

The research on the creative composition of Isan Soraphan's piano music has the objective of creating original piano compositions based on Isan folk song melodies. And using qualitative research methods and creative processes. The researcher collected melodic patterns of Isan folk songs from three groups in the central Isan region. These groups are "Phet Honghee," from Kalasin Province; "Dokfah," from Roi-Et Province; and "Ban Tha Prathay," from Mahasarakham Province. The collected melodies were then used to create solo piano compositions. The research findings include:

Soraphan Waltz song It is an Isan melody that the Dokfa Soraphan Group's poem about a donkey, Ban Nong Takai, used as the inspiration for the main idea of creativity. Using Western music composition theory as a theory for creativity, such as octaves, triads, chords, and orchestration, changing melodies, musical arrangements, etc., Soraphan Waltz songs The beginning of the song is the melody of Soraphan, a donkey poem from Ban Nong Takai. Then the left hand will sing a rhythm like a waltz. The idea was derived from the waltz song of music in the Romantic period. For left-handed notes, the distance between the notes is quite large. So that the performers can show their skill and expertise in playing. For the second part, the researcher created a new melody based on the concept of the Soraphan Klonla melody of the Dokfah Soraphan group. becomes the main idea in changing the melody.
