Abstract

              This research aimed 1) to study the variety of resources with participatory, 2) to analyze problems, obstacles, and limitations, and 3) to present approach how to efficiently integrate the management to protect, conserve, restore, and utilize participatory variety of resources on the Thai-Cambodian border in Surin province. The key informants were people who live in the target communities or related government officers. The research methodologies were qualitative research and quantitative research. The results were : 1) the variety of resources such as the variety of natural resources, man-made resources, and cultural and wisdom resources found that participation in local resource management of the people in the community and supporting factors for participation in local resource management could predict self-management of local resources of the community with statistical significance at the 0.05 level. 2) Problems, and obstacles were happened by lack of cooperation, lack of respect for the rules, and the villagers' debts. And 3) Local communities must use good management mechanisms and create participation from stakeholders. There should be well-educating, attitude cultivating, and conscience correcting, especially for children and youth in the community. In addition, there should be the meeting to build an understanding the agreement of usage and conservation of resources for maximum public benefit.
