Abstract

ABSTRACT
The purposes of this research were to study about style of folk music culture, the appropriate options
for guidelines and conservation and investigate factors affecting of the guidelines and conservation of folk music
culture in ritual construction of Phrathat Choengchum Worawihan and Pharathat Naraichengweng. The
researcher group 62 people, the researcher and co-researcher 61 people. Group informant of 52 people. The
scope of contents included musical instruments, musical styles, and melodies. The research was action research
consists of 4 stages: planning action observation and reflection. The instruments used in this study were moderately scheduled formal interview 2 copies; meeting minutes, focus group discussion form and observation
form.
The results revealed the following points :
1. Studying about the folk music culture in ritual construction of Phrathat Choengchum Worawihan and
Pharathat Naraichengweng revealed that the style of folk music culture in ritual construction of Phrathat
Choengchum Worawihan and Pharathat Naraichengweng should have the full composition of the music is the art
of sound that born out of human effort to create sound in sound order, rhythm, melody, tone color,
homophonic texture and forms by using a variety of sounds, including flipping, milling, hitting and blowing. The
instruments that contributes to the creation of a musical style or melody used in ceremony should be folk
music with the main vocals, Khaen, Phin, Pong Lang and Vode.
2. The best appropriate options for guidelines and conservation of folk music culture in ritual
construction of Phrathat Choengchum Worawihan and Pharathat Naraichengweng consisted of work shop,
follow-up supervision and coaching.
3. The investigate factors affecting of the guidelines and conservation of folk music culture in ritual
construction of Phrathat Choengchum Worawihan and Pharathat Naraichengweng revealed that the style of folk
music culture in ritual construction of Phrathat Choengchum Worawihan and Pharathat Naraichengweng had the
melody with an outline from the original melody that will be easy to remember. There is a suitable sound level
and a fun rhythm to invite people to join the dance in ritual construction, Some parts of the melody of folk
music culture in ritual construction are Line Pu Thai from the original pattern that is the most people who
participate in the worship service are familiar with.
