Abstract

The purposes of this research were to comparative study of criminal and administrative penalty under The Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2019.It is used to conduct descriptive research methods by documentary research. The results of this research revealed that it (PDPA) is the main law which sets the rules. process or regulatory measures on the protection of personal data in line with the international standard, the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for protect the owner of the personal information from the infringement of privacy and to exploit the personal information or disclose it without consent and to punish the offenders in the law. Despite the criminal and administrative penalties under the aforementioned laws, concepts and penalties were found to differ. Therefore, there should be a comparative study of criminal and administrative punishment for appropriate punishment measures. Strengthen the security of personal data to be safer and more efficient.
