The Realistic characteristics and Expectations of A Good Teacher in The Opinion of Successful People in Life

Abstract
The objectives of this research were to: 1) study the realistic characteristics of good teachers in the opinions of successful people in life, 2) study the expectation for the characteristics of good teachers in the opinions of successful people in life, 3) evaluate the needs of a good teacher in the opinion of people who are successful in life, and 4) analyze the characteristics of good teachers in the opinions of successful people in life that should be developed. The population is an Isan people that have achieved success in life of an unknown amount. Determine the sample size by using central limit theorem. Then selected 42 specific samples. The research instrument was an online questionnaire with a 5-level estimation scale. There is a compliance index in the range 0.67 - 1.00, the power classification was in the range of 0.21 - 0.73 and the confidence coefficient of Cronbach’s was 0.96. Collected data by sending online questionnaires to the sample group personally via Line, e-Mail and Facebook channels. The statistics used are mean, standard deviation, and the need index. The result of the research shows that: 1) the realistic characteristics of good teachers in morality and ethics were at the highest level, personality, knowledge, teaching, and life in society were at a high level, 2) the expectation for the characteristics of good teachers in all aspects were at the highest level, 3) the index of needs, characteristics of good teachers in knowledge is the most, followed by teaching, personality, living in society, morality, and ethics respectively, and 4) the characteristics of good teachers in the opinions of successful people in life that should be developed, there are 2 characteristics which are strict personality, and knowledge which are economic and social knowledge, political knowledge and knowledge in using modern media in teaching.
