Development of Guidelines for the Implementation of the Vocational Student Care System for Private Vocational Institute under Khon Kaen Vocational Province

Abstract

The research aimed to study the current state, desirable conditions, need and development of guidelines for the implementation of the vocational student care system for private vocational institute under khon kaen vocational province. This research was divided into 2 phases: phases 1: study the current state, desirable conditions and need for the implementation of the vocational student care system for private vocational institute. The samples consisted of 245 school administrators and teachers. The research instrument was the questionnaire with an Index of Item Objective Congruence between 0.60-1.00, discrimination between 0.66-0.88 and a Reliability between 0.96 – 0.98. The statistics used for analyzing data were frequency, percentage,mean, standard deviation and priority need index. And phases 2: development of guidelines for the implementation of the vocational student care system for private vocational institute. Focus group discussion included 7 professionals as informants. The research instrument was the evaluation form. The statistics used for analyzing data were mean and standard deviation.


              The results are as followed:


                   1. The current state for the implementation of the vocational student care system for private vocational institute were at a high level. Considering each side, it was found that most of them were in the middle level. Desirable conditions for the implementation of the vocational student care system for private vocational institute were at the highest level. Considering each side, it was found that most of them were in the highest level. Result of the needs were in prevention and problem solving have the most needs. Next is the promoting student development and student forwarding respectively.                       


                   2. The results of Development of guidelines for the implementation of the vocational student care system for private vocational institute under khon kaen vocational province were divided into 5 categories; 1) the principle 2) the purpose 3) the mechanism 3) the guidelines for the implementation of the vocational student care system were divided into 5 factors; 4.1) getting to know students individually 4.2) student screening 4.3) promoting student development 4.4) prevention and problem solving 4.5) student forwarding 5) the success conditions. The results of possibility, suitability of developing guidelines was at highest level
