Analysis of Tourists Needs in the Eastern Economic Corridor

Abstract
This research aims to analysis of tourists needs in the Eastern Economic Corridor. The sample for using in the research was the tourists in the Eastern Economic Corridor. The research tools were the interview form and the questionnaire.
The results were summarized by the following steps:
The 1st step; the in-depth interview about tourists needs in the Eastern Economic Corridor found as follow as aspects: 1) environment: be beautiful place, and a unique touring in the east of Thailand, 2) price of goods and services: accommodation and visitation fee are a reasonable, 3) transportation: has evolved of cruise port, and ferry terminal to travel from the main city to the islands, 4) safety: have clear safety measures, fraud prevention and crimes, 5) service: received services from hotels, restaurants, tourism personnel, etc. with a smile and ready to serve with hospitality, 6) souvenirs: each product must be able to convey that tourist attraction, and 7) role of the state: the landscape is managed and the tourist attraction is developed to be more attractive to tourists.
The 2nd step; the opinion survey about tourists needs in the Eastern Economic Corridor found the current situation and the needs assessment of tourists such as in terms of 1) environment: "There are facilities and cleanliness are maintained.”, 2) price of goods and services: “Service fees for entrances of various places is not too high, and the cost of accommodation and food are at a reasonable selling price.”, 3) transportation: “The travel route is clean and convenient for traffic, and can various types of transportations such as cars, trains, boats.”, 4) safety measures: “a place where signs prohibit or warn to follow the rules of that place very well, for the safety of tourists and tell the opening-closing time”, 5) service: "the service are provided with amenities", 6) souvenirs: found there was no need for development due to negative priorities, and 7) role of the state: “ a management of garbage and cleanliness is not to destroy the environment of the attractions.”
